The Council reviewed the 2025-2027 budget request. The discussion clarified that the Council's role was to support and forward the budget request to the State Chief Information Officer for consideration rather than to approve it directly. Concerns regarding pre-vetting of information, the current status of the biennium, and potential shortfalls in funding for statewide aerial imagery collection were addressed. Oregon Geographic Information Council Meeting Minutes
The meeting was held for informational purposes due to a lack of quorum. Key discussion topics included outcomes from the membership survey regarding meeting models and committee focus, strengthening relationships between the Council and advisory committees, feedback on onboarding materials, and the urgency of the 2025-2027 budget request. Consequently, several agenda items were tabled, and the Council agreed to poll members to schedule a special meeting to address time-sensitive budget requirements.
