San Antonio College (SAC) aims to increase enrollment in high-value programs and decrease enrollment in low-value programs by Fall 2025. Strategic reforms focus on strengthening the program portfolio by accelerating high-value credential attainment through short-term courses and stackable programs; establishing a Center of Excellence in Nursing Education; revamping program advisory boards; and expanding Fire Technology, EMS, and Law Enforcement programs. Additionally, SAC will improve advising and supports by implementing early parent education programs, developing sequential dual credit semester credit hours, increasing supplemental instruction, revamping the advising structure and website, streamlining transfer agreements, and revamping first-year advising for the Liberal Arts program. The college will leverage its strengths in accountability, collaboration, and caring to achieve these goals, while addressing needs in high-value programs and high-challenge courses.
