About this conference
A conference exploring the forces shaping the future of the global economy and finance. Georgetown Law and the Institute of International Economic Law are delighted to announce the inaugural EconBuzz, a conference exploring the forces shaping the future of the global economy and finance, which will take place on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, in Washington, DC, at Georgetown's Capitol Campus. From artificial intelligence and digital finance to economic opportunity and geopolitics, EconBuzz will deliver forward-looking, accessible conversations about the ideas and policies driving the next era of the global economy and the financial system. The program, chaired by Professor and former CFTC Commissioner Christy Goldsmith Romero, will feature high-level fireside chats and focused panel discussions on the most pressing global economic and financial issues of today and tomorrow. It will be an intimate forum, prioritizing depth of engagement, candid dialogue, and meaningful connections among participants.
